Her funeral was held the next day, June 28, and saw a gathering of numerous celebrities from both television and film industries. Friends and colleagues, including Arti Singh, Rashami Desai, and Vikas Gupta, were present to pay their respects. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, appeared visibly devastated during the ceremony.

In the film industry, Shefali featured in the 2004 movie 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' alongside stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra. She also acted in the 2011 Kannada film 'Hudugaru' and was part of the web series 'Baby Come Naa.'
