Shirdi: The ‘Break Darshan’ scheme launched by Saibaba Institute in Shirdi for ‘VIP’ has adversely affected the income of the institute. On the basis of Shifarshi from the Public Relations Department, there has been a decrease of about 50 percent in income from ‘paid pass’. If the institute committee did not reconsider this decision, then the economic structure of the institute is expected to have adverse effects.
The government -appointed trusted Mandal headed by the then president of the institute Jayant Sasane had launched a plan to increase the income pass (paid) of Rs 200 to the devotees on the basis of Shifarashi from the Public Relations Office to increase the income of the institute and control the number of ‘VIP’ philosophy.
Fall in devotees taking paid passes
The scheme received good response from the devotees and this used to earn an average of Rs 60 crore every year. But now the committee has implemented a new system called ‘Break Darshan’, resulting in a significant decline in the number of devotees taking ‘paid pass’. In the first day, 200 to 300 devotees used to take ‘paid pass’ from the public relations office, but now this number has come down to 120.
The price of ‘break philosophy’ required (Rs 200) increase, which was likely to increase income, but by not doing so, highly special people – such as politicians, celebrities, businessmen, officials are getting darshan in the old way without any obstruction. Due to this, devotees are asking questions that the purpose and benefit of the ‘Break Darshan’ scheme is for?

In such a situation, if income decreases, the institute’s financial mathematics may be affected. Keeping in mind the demand of devotees and transparency in the arrangements, the need to reconsider the decision taken by the ad hoc committee on the ‘Break Darshan’ scheme.
Half the number

Following the decision of ‘Break Darshan’, on 22 June, 99 devotees, 84 devotees on 23 June and 155 devotees on 24 June took ‘Break Darshan’ with a shifarashi letter. This means that this number has decreased by half.
