These days, nobody knows when it will rain. In such a situation, mobile is a device that is often with us. During rain, its safety becomes most important. If water enters the phone, then it creates problems. Many people panic and start thinking of buying a new phone immediately, but by adopting some easy tricks, you can restart your wet phone. Here we will tell you what should be done if water enters the phone and what should not be done at all.

What to do first if water enters the phone?

If the phone is on and water enters it, then immediately turn it off. This will reduce the risk of short circuits.

Take out all the external parts (SIM card, SD card, back cover, case) of the phone so that it is easy to dry.

Clean the moisture outside the phone with a soft cloth or tissue. Pay more attention to places like the charging port, headphone jack, and speaker.

What should not be done?
Charging a phone that has come in contact with water can be dangerous. This can cause a short circuit or fire. By doing this, water can go deeper inside the phone. Hot air or heating can damage the phone's circuit.

Take raw rice in an airtight container. Keep the phone completely immersed in it for 24 to 48 hours. Rice absorbs moisture which can dry the phone. Keep the phone in a silica gel packet, these help in absorbing water. Keep the phone directly under a strong fan and let it dry for 2 days.

How to know if the phone is fixed or not?
Turn on the phone after 48 hours. If the display, sound, touch, charging, and camera are working properly, then understand that the phone is saved. If the phone is not turning on or the screen is black, then definitely go to the service center.
