Weeks after the IPL 2025 season got over Dhoni has made a major move to get a ‘trademark’ for the ‘Captain Cool’ property under his name. It sums up his calmness under pressure from guiding India to the 2007 T20 World Cup title to lifting the 2011 ODI World Cup and clinching the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. The move to trademark it signals a strategic brand play likely aimed at leveraging it across categories such as apparel digital content and merchandise. Dhoni has captained in 235 matches in the IPL with 136 wins and 97 losses. Rohit Sharma is way behind him in second place on the list with 158 matches as captain and Virat Kohli is in third place with 143 matches in charge in IPL.
