Drunk Men Thrash Auto Driver For Refusing To Give Money For Liquor In MP's Chhatarpur; Video Viral

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A taxi driver in Chhatarpur was brutally assaulted by a miscreant after he refused to give money for liquor on Monday.

In the video, a few drunk men can be seen pushing and slapping the auto driver, who also appears to be under the influence. One of the men is seen holding a belt and beating the driver with it, while the driver tries to defend himself. Police officers are also seen in the video stepping in to stop the fight.

The incident took place at the Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Inter-State Bus Stand, under the Kotwali police station area.

The accused, known for his anti-social behavior, reportedly tried to extort money from the driver to buy alcohol. When the driver refused, the man flew into a rage and attacked him.

According to the reports, the altercation lasted for more than 25 minutes where the accused threw punches and kicks and also assaulted the driver with belt.

A traffic policeman reached there and tried to rescue the goon but when he did not agree, Kotwali police were alerted through wireless communication. Reportedly, the accused was later taken into custody.

The victim said, “He approached me and said I must give him money for liquor, saying he would offer me a drink. When I refused, he started hurling abuses and attacked me”.

According to locals the accused is a regular offender and extorts money illegally for buying liquor.
