If you are fond of traveling and mostly travel by train, then there is big news for you. Today i.e. from July 1, Indian Railways has increased the fare. Yes, the Railways has issued a notification and informed about the increase in fares. After about 5 years, the fare of express, mail all trains has been increased. Earlier in the year 2020, the fare was increased to compensate the losses during Kovid 19.

How much rent increased?

According to the notification of the railway, there was no change in the fare up to 500 km in general coach. For a distance of 501 to 1500 km, 5 rupees have been increased by Rs. 5 for distance from 1501 to 2500 km and Rs 15 for a distance of 2501 to 3000 km. The changed price will be implemented today i.e. July 1, 2025, the tickets which were earlier booked today will get to travel at the old price.

How expensive the fare was in which class?

Half a paisa (0.5 paise) fare has been increased in the general coaches and sleeper class of non-AC ordinary class trains (non-ungrownful trains). The fare of mail and express non-AC train has been increased by 1 paise per kilometer while the AC class fare has been increased by 2 paise per kilometer.

Local and special train fare did not change

The train which runs local or there was no change in the fare of the special train. Apart from this, reservation fees, superfast surcharge and other charges have also been kept stable. GST will also be normal, there is no change in that too. Fare of premium trains like Vande India, Shatabdi, Rajdhani, Tejas, Duronto, Garib Rath has also been increased.
