
The third man -made fiber conference was successfully organized by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on Monday. The conference was attended by Union Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margerita as the chief guest.
During this, the Union Minister while addressing the program said that the incentive scheme to the establishment and production of PM-Mitra parks will serve as a gamechanger for the Indian textile sector. Along with this, the Union Minister highlighted various steps being taken by the government to further strengthen India’s position in the global textile sector.
The Union Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has set a target of exporting garments worth $ 100 billion and apparel by 2030, with the role of man -made fiber and their mixtures.
Along with this, he also said that a strong ecosystem is developing for the man -made fiber sector under the guidance of Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh.
Significantly, the purpose of this conference was to empower India’s position in the global trading scenario. It was attended by policy makers, industry representatives and partners and ideas were shared about India’s role in the man -made fiber price chain.
