Treatment will be possible through mobile app
The Ministry of Health has launched a new mobile app for the CGHS scheme. With this, CGHS beneficiaries can now book an appointment with the doctor from home. They will not need to stand in line in the OPD. Digital slips and reports will be available on the app itself. CGHS card can also be downloaded digitally now. Let us tell you that this app is completely free. Through this, registration or renewal fees can also be paid online.
Unique ID will be linked to PAN card
Now every beneficiary will be given a unique ID linked to a PAN card. With this, the medical record of the entire family will be in one place. This will reduce fraud. Along with this, there will be no need to show documents again and again. The hassle of giving old records to the beneficiaries at the time of renewal will also end.
Relief given in referral rules
Now pensioners aged 70 years or more will not need a referral to meet a specialist doctor. Earlier this age limit was 75 years. Also, referrals in private hospitals will now be valid for 3 months. Due to which patients will not have to repeat the process again and again.
Medical devices will get online approval
Apart from this, the facility of online application and approval has started for essential machines like oxygen concentrator. Earlier this process was done by going to the wellness center. Whose approval used to take 20 days. But now approval can be obtained in just 5 days.
Updates will be available on message and email
Information about every process related to CGHS like application, approval, payment, all these things will now be available through SMS and email. This will eliminate the need to go to the office or call again and again. However, for this you will have to go to the HMIS portal and do one-time registration and avail the facility of mobile and email alerts.
