Anne Gordon dead: Opportunity Knocks legend dies as daughter pays heartbreaking tribute

Opportunity Knocks runner up Anne Gordon has died at the age of 84 after a short illness. Her daughter Joanne confirmed the news and paid tribute saying: "She was very family-oriented. They were her world. She also had a very interesting and full life." Her other daughter Liz told Grimsby Live:"She always put us first. She loved us all. She did everything she could to help. She was a superwoman and full of love. She was always called "G.G." by the family."

Formerly known as Anne Trevor she featured on Opportunity Knocks with Hughie Green at the age of just 24 where she sang If I Were A Bell from Guys and Dolls and Bewitched, Bothered, Bewildered from the musical Pal Joey. Her efforts saw her claim the runner up spot. She had also starred with comedian Les Dawson and singer Vince Hill on TV shows during her career.
