In 2002 Akshita appeared in Mithuns film ‘Marshal.’ After her film career she took on the role of Roshni Mehra in the popular TV series Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2003). Reports indicate that Akshita has left acting to pursue a career in the corporate sector specifically in marketing abroad. She has held positions as an accessories associate and branch manager at sports brands Reebok and Adidas.
