
Arrests Made in Fake Marksheet Case
On Wednesday, law enforcement in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, apprehended two individuals involved in a scheme for creating counterfeit marksheets. The police reported the seizure of 66 fake marksheets, seven transfer certificates, 22 resumes, and various other documents from the suspects.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone One) Yamuna Prasad, the arrests were made by the police station in Phase One based on a tip-off, leading to the capture of Abhimanyu Gupta and Dharmendra Gupta.
The suspects allegedly provided fake marksheets and transfer certificates to unemployed individuals and those who had failed exams, enabling them to secure jobs in private factories. Prasad revealed that the gang charged between 80,000 to 200,000 rupees for these fraudulent documents.
