The honours were shared on the opening day of the second Test between India and England at the Edgbaston stadium in Birmingham on Thursday. Team India captain Shubman Gill notched up his 7th Test ton and second in successive games to guide his side to 310 for 5 wickets after being sent into bat by England skipper Ben Stokes. Gill got useful support from Yashasvi Jaiswal who was dismissed for 87. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is unbeaten on 41 at stumps and has put on 99 runs for the sixth wicket with captain Gill.
