Many people travel by their car daily. Many people travel by petrol car. Many times they stop the car at the petrol pump to fill petrol in between. But do you know whether the quality of the petrol you fill in your car is really reliable or not?

Every time we stop at a petrol pump. We just look at the meter and move ahead after making the payment. But if the petrol is not of good quality, then it directly affects the engine of your car. So it is important that you fill good quality petrol.

Many people believe that petrol pumps of big companies give only good petrol. But the truth is not like this every time. Many times complaints of adulteration or poor quality of petrol have been seen. Which can affect the performance of the car.

Let us tell you that when you fill petrol in your car at a petrol pump, then at that time you have the right to check its quality. The Government of India has given this right to everyone that they can demand a quality test at the petrol pump.

For this, every petrol pump must have testing kits like a density kit and filter paper. You can ask the petrol pump staff to test the petrol in front of you. The density test shows whether the petrol is adulterated with any other liquid or not.

If you want, you can also check the quality of petrol with a filter paper test. In this, a few drops of petrol are dropped on paper. If any stain or color is left in it, then understand that the petrol is not pure. It does not take much time to do this test.

If you doubt the quality of petrol and the petrol pump staff refuses to test it, then you can complain directly to the oil company or consumer forum. The helpline number and the name of the company are written on the display board at the petrol pump. You can contact there and complain.
