Poonam Dhillon about Neetu and Rishi Kapoor's marriage
In a recent conversation with ANI, Poonam Dhillon shared her experiences from those days, mentioning that by the time she entered the industry, Neetu had already taken a step back. "They had just got married when I joined the industry. Neetu had more or less given up acting. I attended a wedding and had just entered films, but I didn’t witness their romance, as I wasn’t part of the industry at that time. I saw them later during Doosra Aadmi, because it was a Yash Chopra film with Rakhee. I attended one or two shootings at Yash ji’s house."
Poonam Dhillon about Kapoor family 's generosity
Poonam also fondly spoke about her time filming Biwi O Biwi with Rishi Kapoor. She described the atmosphere as warm and positive, filled with the Kapoor family's generosity.
Poonam fondly reminisced about the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Rishi Kapoor’s Chembur residence . She shared that the Kapoor family often served delicious home-cooked Punjabi meals. "His wife was a legendary hostess. But you know that thing continued later when both of them were no more. If you went to his Chembur house, hospitality was always there. Punjabi khana mostly." she added.
During her visits, Neetu would personally prepare and serve generous portions of food. Poonam recounted a moment when she asked Neetu not to serve her too much dal, but Rishi assured her that he would take some of it — and would then scoop the dal from her plate with his hands.
