Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first Indian personality to be honored with a spot on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, located in Los Angeles, is a special sidewalk that celebrates globally recognized figures from the world of entertainment and sports. Each year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce selects distinguished personalities to have their names immortalized on star-shaped plaques embedded in the pavement.

This year, Deepika Padukone is among nearly three dozen honorees from the fields of film, television, music, and sports whose names will be added to the Walk of Fame. Her name will soon be engraved on a star and placed along the iconic sidewalk.

According to a list shared by the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s official Instagram page, Deepika is included in the 2025 class of inductees — making history as the first Indian celebrity to receive this honor.

With this achievement, Deepika has surpassed even legendary Indian stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and the Khan trio of Bollywood. She continues to shine as a global icon.

Deepika Padukone began her film career in 2007 with the Bollywood blockbuster Om Shanti Om and went on to appear in a Hollywood film in 2018. To date, she has acted in over thirty films and is among the highest-paid actresses in India. She was also featured in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People.
