The Indian Air Force has invited applications for the posts of Agniveer Vayu (Musician). If you are unmarried and have a passion for music, then this news is for you. The application process will start from July 5, and continue till July 13. Dholak, guitar, violin, harmonium, or vocal music, whatever genre you have a hold on, now you can use it in serving the country. Both male and female candidates can apply for these posts.

Air Force Vacancy 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit and Physical Eligibility

Candidates of minimum 17.5 years and maximum 21 years can apply for this recruitment.

In terms of physical fitness, male candidates will have to complete a 1.6 km run in 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Also, 20 sit-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups will have to be done.

Female candidates will have to complete a 1.6 km run in 8 minutes and perform 15 sit-ups and 10 push-ups.

Who can apply?
If you have passed the 10th class from any recognized board, then you can apply.
The most important thing is that you should know how to play any Indian or foreign musical instrument (like keyboard, tabla, drums, guitar, flute, or any other). You should have a good grasp and practice in one or more instruments.
You should have the ability to sing the tune, rhythm, and the entire song properly. Also, you should have the understanding to recognize music by listening to it. This should not be just bookish knowledge, but should also be visible in real performance.
Agniveers will not be allowed to marry during their four-year service.

Salary and allowances
First year: Rs 30,000 per month
Second year: Rs 33,000 per month
Third year: Rs 36,500 per month
Fourth year: Rs 40,000 per month
Apart from salary, Agniveers will also be given risk allowance, ration, clothes, and other allowances as per the rules.

Process for Agniveervayu: Selection process
First of all, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

After this, their musical ability will be tested, in which their musical skills will be tested.

Finally, there will be a medical examination.
