Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Star Michael Madsen Passes Away At 67; Here's His Only Indian Film

The iconic Hollywood star Michael Madsen known for starring in Quentin Tarantino’s all-time classic films like Reservoir Dogs (1992), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), The Hateful Eight (2015) and other films like The Doors (1991), Thelma & Louise (1991), Donnie Brasco (1997), Die Another Day (2002) and Sin City (2005) has sadly passed away at the age of 67.

According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran actor was found unresponsive in his home in Malibu on July 3, 2025, and was pronounced dead at 08:25 am.

Liz Rodriguez, Michael Madsen's rep at EMR Media Entertainment, told the website, "We understand Michael had a cardiac arrest."

His rep further told TMZ, “In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film, including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life.”

The rep added, “Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.”

The Hollywood actor starred as one of the leads in Quentin Tarantino’s debut film Reservoir Dogs which was remade in Hindi as Kaante and the character portrayed by Madsen was played by Sanjay Dutt in the remake.

Michael Madsen’s Only Indian Film

Not many are aware that besides starring in a number of Hollywood classics, Michael in later career starred in an Indian film.

The film in question is Telugu mystery thriller Nishabdham starring Anushka Shetty and R Madhavan in the lead roles.

Michael Madsen played the character of an American cop investigating the murder of a renowned cello player who is said to be killed by a supernatural entity.

Directed by Hemant Madhukar, Nishabdham received extremely poor response and currently has an IMDb rating of 4.3 out of 10.
