In the wake of a heartbreaking incident in Mumbai involving the death of a young boy, misinformation on social media added further distress. Several users began circulating false claims that the boy was the son of television actress Resham Tipnis. The actress has now addressed the situation head-on, firmly denying the rumours and expressing her outrage over the spread of fake news.

"My Son Is Fine" – Resham Tipnis Responds

Taking to her social media, Resham Tipnis wrote a strongly worded message to shut down the baseless speculation:

“Please ignore this. Somebody is spreading fake news about my son Manav. He is fine and healthy by Bappa’s blessings. But whoever has done this is going behind bars. If anyone can help me find them, please comment.”

With this statement, she confirmed her son Manav is safe and healthy, and made it clear that legal action would be taken against those responsible for spreading the false information.

Tragedy in Kandivali: What Happened

The rumours began shortly after a devastating incident was reported on Wednesday evening in Mumbai’s Kandivali area. A 14-year-old boy, the only child of a popular television actress (not named by authorities), died by suicide after allegedly jumping from a high-rise residential tower.

According to preliminary police reports, the boy lived with his mother on the 51st floor of Sea Brook Tower and had an argument about attending tuition. Upset after the disagreement, he reportedly left the apartment and jumped from a higher floor—believed to be the 57th, although this is still under confirmation.

A resident of the building witnessed the fall and immediately informed the boy’s mother. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and an Accidental Death Report (ADR) was filed by Kandivali police. No signs of foul play have been identified, but a routine inquiry is underway.

Police Investigation Underway

The boy was reportedly a Class 9 student and the only child of his mother, who is believed to be divorced. Investigators plan to speak with teachers, neighbours, and family members to determine if the teenager had been under any mental or emotional stress.
