Chikkamagaluru: Landslide in Kalasa taluk village after heavy rains triggers panic

Chikkamagaluru: Heavy rain and strong winds continued to lash parts of the Malnad region, causing a landslide in Channahadlu village of Kalasa taluk in Chikkamagaluru district.
The landslide has raised fear among residents in the area. Due to the impact, road connectivity to several villages including Hirebailu and Malleshanagudda has been disrupted.
According to local reports, a portion of the hill collapsed and blocked the road, further isolating the region. Locals recalled that a similar landslide had occurred in Channahadlu back in 2019.
The district administration is monitoring the situation.
