Religion religion ,Shod month has special significance in Hinduism. To get the special grace of Bholenath, all the devotees observe a fast on Monday of this month. It is believed that on this day all the wishes of those who worship Shiva methodically are fulfilled.

According to selfless devotional belief, the main law of worship of Shiva in Shoda, Lord Shiva only cares about devotion done with selfless and true heart. While worshiping them, there should not be any kind of deceit or pride in the mind, otherwise there is no fruit of worship. Worship with full devotion, faith and dedication. Do not forget to wear black clothes even for worship for worship.

Wear white, red, yellow, saffron or sky colored clothes for Volenath Puja. If possible, do not wear stitched clothes while worshiping Volenath. Never sit directly on the ground while worshiping, but sit on a clean posture. Pay attention to the direction, Volenath should always be worshiped by facing east or north direction.

Never offer milk to Lord Shiva in a copper vessel. Always use steel, brass or silver utensils to offer milk. In every temple, a urn is placed on the Shivling, which is anointed by Bholenath all the time. Never add milk to this urn. Only Ganga water or pure water should be added to this urn.

Devotees anoint on Shivling with many types of things like milk, curd, honey etc. Remember, after anointing these things, offer Ganga water or pure water on the Shivling. Bholenath should break the thunderbolt of Belpatra to be offered to the Shivling. The thick part of the leaf stalk is called Vajra.

You can offer coconut to Lord Shiva, but do not anoint Bholenath with coconut water by mistake. Flowers like Jasmine, Champa, Jasmine, Ketki are considered taboo in the worship of Lord Shiva, so these flowers are not used in the worship of Bholenath. Tulsi leaves are not offered to Bholenath, so Tulsi is not used in the worship of Shivaratri.

Lord Shiva should not be consecrated with conch shell. To get the grace of Lord Shiva, Shiva devotees should chant Om Namah Shivaya Mantra along with Rudraksha fast on Shivaratri. Praise Lord Shiva by doing kirtan and awakening all night on Mahashivaratri.
