All pensioners have been requested to ensure submission of their life certificates within the deadline so that the pension distribution process can be maintained uninterrupted.

HP Pensioners Life Certificate: There is important news for lakhs of pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. As per the instructions issued by the Treasury Rules and Finance Department, all the pensioners of the state can compulsorily submit their life certificate along with the necessary documents for the year 2025-26 by 30 September 2025. The process has started from 1st July.

If the pensioners get biometric verification done through online digital life certificate, then they will not need to appear personally in the treasury office in future. Biometric verification done on the Jeevan Pramaan portal will remain valid for one year. All pensioners have been requested to ensure submission of their life certificates within the time limit so that the pension distribution process can be kept uninterrupted.

How to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra

• Jeevan Pramaan Patra can be downloaded from the department’s websitehttp://Himkoshh.hp.nic.in, which can be filled and verified by the concerned Patwari, Panchayat Secretary, Bank Manager and any Gazetted Officer of HP Government and submitted in any treasury office.
• Pensioners can also submit a digital Jeevan Pramaan Patra by getting biometric verification done on the portal www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in through biometrics available at the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Treasury or Common Service Centre (CSC).
• A digital certificate based on the Aadhaar number will be accepted as a valid document by the Treasury Office.
• Pensioners who have already registered their Aadhaar number in the treasury can submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra through a biometric device from any place, and they will not need to submit the document separately to the treasury.

Why is Jeevan Pramaan Patra necessary?

It is worth noting that Jeevan Pramaan Patra is an abiotic-enabled digital life certificate for pensioners. It is very important for retired employees of the central government, state government and other government institutions. It shows whether the person receiving a pension is alive or not. In the last months of the year, especially pensioners have to submit the life certificate, because the life certificate submitted by the pensioners is valid for one year.
