Birmingham: In the Birmingham Test match played between India and England, Indian fast bowler Akashdeep created history with his bowling. He not only played a decisive role in India’s spectacular victory by 336 runs by taking a total of 10 wickets in the match, but also topped the best bowling figures from India in England.
Akashdeep appeared emotional in a conversation with broadcaster Cheteshwar Pujara after the match. He dedicated his achievement to his elder sister, who has been suffering from a serious disease like cancer for the last two months.
Akash Deep credited his performance to his sister
Akashdeep became emotional “I had not shared this pain with anyone before today,” he said, “Today when I was bowling, every ball was reminding me of my sister. I was dedicating every delivery to her and I am sure that this victory will make her the most happy.”
Akash Deep took five wickets hall for the first time. Along with this, he has done the feat of taking 10 wickets in a match for the first time. He became the second Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in England. He achieved this feat after Chetan Sharma.
