The magnum opus teaser of Ramayana which is said to be the costliest film ever made in Bollywood has finally been released. Nitesh Tiwaris epic mythological saga is set to give goosebumps to the audience. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Laxman. The highly anticipated movie will be released in two parts - while Part 1 will be released in 2026 the second part will hit the big screens in 2027. Despite the grand buzz around the upcoming Ramayana for many Ramanand Sagar’s 1987 Ramayan continues to be the ultimate classic. Recently it was revealed that Arun Govil who famously portrayed Lord Ram in the 1987 series will now play the role of King Dasharath Ram’s father in the upcoming magnum opus. Dipika Chikhlia who portrayed Sita in the iconic TV show opened up on her views about casting Arun Govil. Dipika Chikhlia Seems Upset With Arun Govils Casting in Nitesh Tiwaris Ramayana Dipika told The Times of India “I have seen him as Ram and I’ve seen myself as Sita. For me to see him as Dasharath is really a little out of context. Dipika called Aruns decision a personal choice as he decided to play Dasharath after playing Lord Ram. “I mean if you played Ram then you are Ram” she said. Dipika is Unhappy About Not Being a Part of Nitesh Tiwaris Ramayana Dipika also shared her disappointment about not being offered a role in the new film. “I was never approached. I guess they’ve not even bothered to speak to me about it” she said. She further added that if the makers had approached her then she would have agreed to play any role in the film Ramayana as she couldnt imagine playing any character other than Sita which she played in Ramanand Sagars Ramayana.
