How to change the date of birth?
Many people are worried about updating their Aadhaar cards because they do not have knowledge of the right process. If the date of birth or other information in your Aadhaar card is wrong, it is necessary to improve it as soon as possible. Here we will tell you how you can correct your date of birth.
One time permission of improvement
According to UIDAI rules, you can correct the date of birth in the Aadhaar card only once.
Required documents
You will need some documents to correct the date of birth. You can use PAN card, birth certificate, passport, bank passbook or certificate issued by the university.
Process of correcting date of birth in Aadhaar
- First, visit your nearest base center.
- There you have to fill the correction form.
- Fill your name, Aadhaar number and correct information in the form.
- Officers at the Aadhaar center will confirm your biometric details.
- If your documents are found correct, your date of birth will be updated.
- A fee of Rs 50 will be charged for this process.
- In a few days, your new date of birth will be updated to the Aadhaar card.
- You will be given a URN slip from which you can track your update request position online.
- You can download the updated Aadhaar by visiting the UIDAI website.
It is difficult to improve for the second time
Rules for Aadhaar improvement are strict. Many times people face error even after rectifying once. If there is a mistake in the date of birth or gender, it only gets a chance to improve it once. In such a situation, you have to go to Aadhaar Center with the date of birth certificate and manifesto and apply for extraordinary updates.
