This gripping series is not just a mythological-crime thriller but also marks Vaani Kapoors first foray into the digital space. Recently her film Raid 2 hit the big screen and tasted success at the box office. Take a look here: What Vaani Kapoor Said About Her New Project? Talking about her new project the actress said I was looking for something very special and challenging so that my OTT debut is memorable and it is a privilege to get a platform like Mandala Murders. I am becoming a part of a story that will demand a new avatar from me physically and mentally. This is a genre I had not stepped into before. This decision is introducing me to new layers of depth struggle and sensitivity and this is what is necessary for telling a great story. Vaani emphasized better opportunities for women on streaming platforms saying I love streaming because actresses here get strong and challenging roles which are often not found in theatrical films as they are mostly male-dominated. Indian actresses are now playing the lead role in action-thrillers without any inhibition and this is a much-needed change. Mandala Murders marks the second collaboration between Netflix and YRFs creative partnership following the release of The Railway Man in 2023. The series is co-directed by Manan Rawat.
