
DSSSB Jail Warder Recruitment 2025: Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has started the application process for recruitment to 2119 posts. The highest number of vacancies is for the posts of Jail Warder. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website.

Category-wise vacancies
A total of 1676 posts have been released by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) under Jail Warder Recruitment 2025. Out of these, the maximum 690 posts are for the unreserved (UR) category, while 452 posts are reserved for the OBC category. Reservation will also be applicable for other categories like SC, ST, EWS, etc., as per the rules.
The candidate should have passed the 12th (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board. This recruitment process is exclusively for male candidates.
Physical Standards
To participate in this recruitment, the height of the candidate should be at least 170 cm. However, Gorkha, Garhwali, Dogra, and Scheduled Tribe candidates will be given a relaxation of 5 cm. The chest measurement is required to be 81 cm without expansion and 86 cm with expansion, in which expansion of 5 cm is mandatory. The above castes will also get relaxation in chest measurement.
Medical and Physical Efficiency Standards
The eyesight of the candidate should be 6/6, and he should not have any kind of color blindness. Also, there should not be any medical deficiencies like crooked feet, flat feet, squint, varicose veins, etc. Under PET, i.e., physical efficiency test, the candidate will have to complete a 1600-meter race in 6 minutes, along with three chances of 13 13-foot long jump and a 3 feet 9 inches high jump.
Physical Test Standards for Ex-Servicemen
In DSSSB Jail Warder Recruitment 2025, relaxation has been given in different categories of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for ex-servicemen. Candidates up to 31 years of age will have to complete the 1600-meter race in 6 minutes. Also, a long jump of 13 feet and a high jump of 3 feet 9 inches will have to be done.
Relaxation according to age
For ex-servicemen whose age is between 31 and 40 years, the running time has been fixed at 7 minutes, long jump 12 feet, and high jump 3 feet 6 inches. At the same time, for candidates above 40 years of age, the target is set to run in 8 minutes, 11 feet long jump, and 3 feet 3 inches high jump. These relaxations are given to them, keeping in mind age and experience.
