Good news for the poor in Bihar, more than 1 crore people Rs 1100

Patna. The Bihar government has announced a huge relief under the Social Security Pension Scheme, taking a historic initiative for the poor and deprived sections. More than one crore 11 lakh pensioners of the state will be sent directly to their bank accounts on 11 July 2025. This assistance will be provided through the Direct Benefit Transfer system, which will ensure transparency and quick benefits.

Three times pension for the first time

Till now the amount of social security pension was Rs 400, which has been increased by the Bihar cabinet to Rs 1100. This is the first time the beneficiaries will get about three times the amount. A total of Rs 1227 crore has been allocated by the government, which will be distributed under six different pension schemes.

Six pension schemes that will benefit:

1. Chief Minister Older Pension Scheme – 45% beneficiary (about 49.89 lakhs)

2. Bihar Disability Pension Scheme – 8% beneficiary (about 9.65 lakh)

3. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme – 6% beneficiary (about 6.32 lakhs)

4. Laxmibai Social Security Pension Scheme –8% beneficiary (about 8.65 lakh)

5. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme – 1% beneficiary (about 1.10 lakhs)

6. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme –32% beneficiary (about 35.57 lakh)

Statewide celebration on 11 July

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will formally transfer this amount on July 11 (Friday). It will be celebrated as a celebration throughout the state. Under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, a high -level meeting was held to prepare for the event, in which all the District Magistrates were instructed to make strong arrangements at the organizing places.
