
A wave of sorrow has hit the Indian film industry as lyricist Shivashakti Datta father of music composer MM Keeravani passed away at the age of 92. He died at his home in Manikonda Hyderabad after facing age-related health issues. Who was Shivashakti Datta? A lyricist screenwriter director and producer Datta wore many hats. But it was his deeply spiritual and poetic songwriting that immortalised him in Indian cinema. His most well-known work? The thundering anthem “Saahore Baahubali” from the blockbuster Baahubali franchise. His lyrical contributions gave soul to epic moments in RRR Magadheera Rajanna and Sriramadasu as well. His writing style was unique weaving Sanskrit with Telugu seamlessly creating verses that felt timeless yet emotionally rich. He was a true lover of art and literature. His songs beautifully blended Sanskrit and Telugu.
