
EPFO Interest Credit for FY 2025
PF Account Interest: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) deposits interest into its members' accounts annually. This week, EPFO is in the process of transferring the interest for the financial year 2025 into employees' accounts. Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the organization will complete the transfer of 8.25% interest to members' accounts within this week. He mentioned, 'This time, interest will be credited to 33.56 crore member accounts across 13.88 lakh institutions.'
Interest Credited to 32.39 Crore Accounts 32.39 Crore Accounts Have Received Interest
The Labor Minister further stated that as of July 8, interest has been credited to 32.39 crore member accounts across 13.86 lakh institutions. This means that 99.9% of institutions and 96.51% of member accounts have been covered so far.
How to Check Your PF Balance?
EPFO members should keep an eye on their message inbox, as they may receive an SMS regarding the credit of interest this week. You can also check your PF balance through your PF passbook. Here’s how you can do it:
Visit the EPFO Portal EPFO Portal Access
You can view your PF passbook by visiting the EPFO portal at https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/login. You will need to enter your UAN, password, and captcha code to log in. Once logged in, you can view your PF passbook, which will display both your PF amount and the interest credited.
Using the UMANG App Access via UMANG App
You can also check your PF passbook using the UMANG app. Download the app, enter your phone number, and complete the one-time registration. The e-passbook will show your PF balance and the interest amount.
One Missed Call for Information
To check your balance, simply give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425. After the call, you will receive messages from EPFO containing your PF account balance.
Check PF Balance via SMS SMS Method for PF Balance
If you prefer, you can also check your PF balance by sending an SMS. From your registered mobile number, send a message with the text 'AN EPFOHO ENG' to 7738299899. You will receive messages containing your PF balance information.
