New Delhi. India is located in a geographical area where its boundaries are associated with two nuclear power rich countries – China and Pakistan. In the backdrop of frequent military tension and limited conflicts on these borders, the need for modern, accurate and flexible missile systems for the Indian armed forces has become even more important. In order to meet this strategic need, India has now started extensive expansion in its strategic missile capabilities.
From ‘Prahar’ to ‘Pranash’: Extension in accuracy and range
The ‘Prahar’ missile, which has a current firepower of about 150 kilometers, has already become an important part of the army’s quick and accurate attack capacity. This system is mainly designed for the purpose of destroying the enemy’s high-value goals-command posts, radar stations, air defense systems-within the battlefield.
Now its extended version ‘Pranash’ is underway, which will have an estimated range of about 200 kilometers. This change is not only a distance expansion, but also a strategic leap towards the ability to effectively attack, despite being out of the battlefield. ‘Pranash’ will be launched from road-mobile platforms, which will make its deployment and counter-attack capacity highly flexible.
Deployment of ‘Holocaust’: New means of deep-stroke
The ‘Holocaust’ missile, which is capable of hitting the range of 150 to 500 km, is a major increase in India’s strategic ballistic capabilities. Its features-such as high-speed tragetizes, different warhead options, and manuining in terminal phase-make it specific. Orders of a total of 370 units given by the Army and the Air Force make it clear that India plans to deploy it extensively on the north and western borders.
Preparations for modern war: missiles and rockets
The strategic direction in which India is moving clearly indicates a leier and flexible strikes – that is, the establishment of the multi -layered and tight -hit capacity. This balance of missiles and guided rocket systems prepares India for all scenarios of modern war like limited war, hybrid warfare, and deep strikes.
Pinaka, Prahar, Pranash and Holocaust together form a network that is capable of demolishing any target of up to 500 kilometers not only on the border but also within the war zone. Apart from this, many other modern and hypersonic missiles are being made by India.
