Pakistani actor, host, and comedian Ahmed Ali Butt has come under intense criticism on social media for reposting a podcast featuring late model and actress Humaira Asghar following her sudden and mysterious death. Social media users accused him of opportunism and hypocrisy, suggesting that he was trying to benefit personally from the tragedy.

Humaira Asghar’s untimely passing has left fans across the country in shock and mourning. In the aftermath of her death, old videos, interviews, and podcasts featuring the actress began circulating widely on social and digital media platforms. Among them, Ahmed Ali Butt reshared a podcast episode featuring Humaira that was originally posted nearly 11 months ago. After being reposted, the video quickly gained more than 200,000 views.

However, the move sparked widespread outrage online, with many users claiming that Butt was exploiting the actress’s death for views and engagement. Critics called the action insincere and self-serving.

One user wrote, “Everyone was sharing clips, so he thought, ‘Why should I stay behind?’ and uploaded the entire podcast again.” Another commented, “As if we don’t know why you reposted the video — to get more views and earn money because she’s in the news now.”

Following the backlash, Ahmed Ali Butt issued a statement on Instagram defending his decision. He explained that the repost was not for personal gain but to counter misinformation circulating about Humaira Asghar and her family.

“There’s a lot of false information being shared about the late Humaira Asghar Ali and her family. We reshared the podcast only with the intention that people could see the real Humaira and understand the struggles she faced in life,” Butt stated. “People are editing and sharing clips for their own agendas, so it’s better that viewers watch the full, unedited podcast.”
