Recently, music director Amal Malik had made serious allegations against his uncle Anu Malik that he deliberately damaged his father Dabboo Malik’s career. This family dispute created a stir in the music world.
Now in this whole case, the third brother of the family, Abu Malik, has broken the silence for the first time and has kept his point openly.
‘Nothing happened to me that Anu had taken away work from Dabboo…’
Abu Malik said in a conversation with Amar Ujala Digital,
“To be honest, nothing happened in front of me that Anu had taken any work from Dabboo. Both of them chose their path and made a mark in the music industry in their own way.”
‘Both the thinking, genre and paths were different…’
Abu said that Anu Malik has been a big name, who has achieved that position with his hard work and talent.
At the same time, Dabboo Malik also composed different kinds of music and worked on good projects.
“Their way, genre and goals of working were different – in such a situation, there is no talk of confrontation.”
‘There are differences in every family, but there should be no enmity…’
Abu Malik also accepted that
“Every family may have small and big differences, but this does not mean that someone is stopping each other’s progress. Both Anu and Dabboo have their own identity.”
‘I felt sad to listen to Amal…’
Abu said that he has not read the interview of Amal, nor has he felt something like that,
“So it is sad to hear this as a family member. We should support each other, not to get entangled in the clutches.”
‘Our heritage is very large, it should be handled’
Abu said getting emotional,
“The music heritage of the Malik family is very large. I want Amal, Armaan and all the rest together to motivate each other. There is strength in unity.”
‘I am proud of my nephews – both Amal and Armaan are amazing’
Abu Malik praised the nephews and said:
“Amal’s music is liked by today’s youth and is deep in Armaan. Both of them have earned a name with their hard work.”
‘My path remained different, but we all destroy music’
Abu Malik said while talking on his journey,
“I have always done live shows, big concerts-from India to abroad. My music has been slightly out of the film industry, so I did not have any scope for any confrontation with Anu or Dabboo.”
‘Ayan is also carrying forward family heritage’
He said while referring to his son Ayan Malik,
“He is producing music in UK and Europe nowadays and his style between youth is quite popular. I am happy that our next generation is also moving music forward in its own way.”
‘Music of Malik family will always be alive’
While finishing the conversation, Abu said,
“Anu, Dabboo, Amal, Armaan, Ayan – are all hardworking and talented. Our identity is music and this identity will always be intact.”
