A sensational murder case in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar surprised everyone. A wife, who had a dream to become an officer, hatched a conspiracy to kill her husband, which is no less than the script of a thriller film. This woman, named Saba Firdaus, not only learned the way of murder with the help of Google and YouTube, but also woven a story that saw the police in the beginning. But the truth could not be hidden for long. Saba confessed his crime after strict interrogation and intensive investigation of the evidence.
Doubt of affair and broken relationship
The story of Saba Firdaus began in 2012, when she was married to a panchayat employment servant named Mumtaz. The early years were normal for Saba, the mother of three children, but in 2022, there was a storm in her life. Saba suspected that Mumtaz was having an affair with another woman. Mumtaz always denied despite holding a phone conversation several times. Saba says that when he opposed the relationship, Mumtaz started assaulting him. Even after installing CCTV cameras in the house, the situation did not improve. All this made Saba so upset that he decided to take a dangerous step.
Google and YouTube become ‘Guru’ for murder
Saba said that she was preparing for competitive examinations like BPSC and UPSC, so that one day he could become an officer. But the husband’s behavior motivated her to plot to murder. He started finding ways of murder on Google and YouTube. Wrote every technique that he found effective, in the notes. Also, taking inspiration from crime serials and thriller films, he prepared a script that he could mislead the police. His plot was so clever that the film was similar to the story of ‘Drishyam’.
17 knife blows and cold mind conspiracy
On the night of 7 July, Saba carried out his plan. When his children were sleeping and Mumtaz was in another room, Saba took a knife from the kitchen and attacked Mumtaz’s chest 17 times. Seeing bleeding, she returned peacefully to her room. After executing the murder, Saba tried his best to mislead the police. But on 13 July, the police investigated his Google and YouTube history, which found evidence of finding ways of murder. The search for the notes made by Saba is still going on.
Police vigilance revealed the truth
Intensive investigation and technical evidence of the police played an important role in resolving the case. Saba’s search history completely exposed his intentions. The Muzaffarpur police worked hard day and night to resolve the matter and finally arrested Saba. This case is not only the story of a crime, but also shows how easily criminals can misuse technology in the digital age. But at the same time it also proves that no criminal can escape from vigilance and technical investigation.
