New Delhi . Former Indian Captain Saurav Ganguly expressed disappointment over India’s defeat in the third Test match played in Lords (Lords) in Lords. Ganguly believes that the top -order batsmen would have a better performance in the five -match series against England. The kind of struggle showed by the lower -order batsmen led by Ravindra Jadeja (61 not out) after the lacquer performance of the top -order batsmen. Ganguli said on the sidelines of the Indian Racing League and F4 India Championship program, “In this series, there was a little disappointment in India’s batting manner, he should have scored 190 runs.” He said, “When you see Jadeja struggling in this way, I think the players in this team will be more disappointed with the talent in this team. This was a chance to take a 2–1 lead in the series against England. I am sure they will be disappointed at not reaching by 190, especially given the quality of batting in their dressing room. ”

Ganguly said that if the top -order batsmen had played a little better, the result would have been different. Yashasvi Jaiswal could not open his account, while Shubman Gill (six) and Rishabh Pant (nine) could not reach double digits. KL Rahul scored 39 runs in the innings, but finally Jadeja (61 runs unbeaten) fell alone. Ganguly said, “If the top order had struggled a little, then this match would have been in India’s bag.”

The former BCCI chief praised Jadeja’s extraordinary batting, saying, “Jadeja has been exceptional, he will continue to play for India as long as he will continue to bat like this.” Ganguli said, “He has been in the team for a long time.” He has played around 80 Test matches and more than 200 ODIs. You can feel their experience by batting, bowling and fielding. He is a special player and his batting has actually improved over the years. He is a very important part of this team.
