Qatari club Al-Duhail SC are looking to hijack an agreement between UAE club Al-Jazira and FC Nantes for Jean-Charles Castelletto, according to Market football.
Market football reports that Castelletto has already passed his medical at Al-Jazira, but Al-Duhail have now offered the player better personal terms.
Castelletto began his career at AJ Auxerre and made his professional debut in April 2013. After making 58 appearances for the Burgundian club, he moved to Club Brugge. Having struggled for gametime, Castelletto left Club Brugge for loan spells at Royal Excel Mouscron and Red Star before moving to Stade Brestois 29 on a permanent deal in July 2017.
Casteletto spent three seasons at Brest before moving to FC Nantes on a free transfer in July 2020. He has made a total of 163 appearances across five seasons for Nantes but has seemingly fallen out of favour with manager Luís Castro.
