Now, CM Nitish has announced to give free electricity up to 125 units to the people of Bihar. Earlier, he has also made many announcements like 1 crore jobs and increasing the pension amount. What announcements did CM Nitish make?

Before the announcement of 125 units of free electricity, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has increased the amount of pension given to the elderly from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. At the same time, the amount of widow and disabled pension has also been increased from 400 to Rs 1100. Apart from this, domicile policy has also been implemented in government recruitment in Bihar. Not only this, a promise of 1 crore jobs has also been made for the youth of Bihar in the coming 5 years. Apart from this, CM Nitish also approved reservation for women in direct recruitment in the state and formation of youth commission in the state.

Will free electricity prove to be a masterstroke?

Whether announcing free electricity before the election will prove to be a masterstroke for Nitish Kumar or not.. only the election result will tell.. But till now in the states where free electricity was announced.. the party won the elections there. Like in Delhi, Kejriwal came to power by announcing 200 units of free electricity. Whereas, in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren returned to power by giving 125 units of free electricity. In Rajasthan, BJP came to power by promising 300 units of free electricity and after that Bhajanlal government also implemented it. In Himachal, Congress came to power by promising 125 units of free electricity and Sukhu government fulfilled it. In Punjab, AAP came to power by giving 300 units of free electricity. In Karnataka and Telangana too, the Congress government has gained power by giving free electricity up to 200 units.

How many people will benefit?

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary has also held a press conference regarding free electricity. He said- "Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has started the Chief Minister Consumer Assistance Scheme for electricity consumers and through this, the Bihar government will give 100% subsidy of 125 units of electricity. Till now we used to give 15,995 crore rupees in subsidy and in this financial year we will work to give an additional subsidy of about 3375 crore rupees. In this financial year, a subsidy of 19,370 crore rupees will be given. The Bihar government will increase the 16,000 crore that we were giving to 19,370 crore rupees, which will benefit 1 crore 82 lakh families. Among these, there are 1 crore 67 lakh families who use less than 125 units. This will be a golden time for them.
