Do you know that the signs of kidney failure are not just visible through urine or stomach pain, but also on your face? By recognizing these 5 symptoms, you can get kidney disease treated in time .
Kidney is the most important organ of our body which cleans the blood and removes toxins. But due to today's unhealthy lifestyle, drinking less water and eating more salt, cases of kidney damage are increasing rapidly. The most shocking thing is that the symptoms of kidney damage are first seen on our face. Nephrologist Dr. Rajeev Gupta explains, "Most people are able to recognize kidney disease in the last stage because they ignore the initial symptoms. If you see these 5 signs on your face, then immediately get a kidney function test done." These symptoms are so common that people ignore them thinking they are fatigue or allergies, but these small signs can save you from kidney failure. Let's know what are those facial symptoms that indicate kidney failure. This swelling is more visible in the morning and persists throughout the day. Also, dark circles become darker due to the accumulation of toxins. Paleness or whiteness in the face When the kidneys fail, there is a lack of hemoglobin in the blood (anemia), due to which the face starts to look pale or white. This paleness is usually also visible on the lips, nails and the inner part of the eyes. Itching and rashes on the face When kidneys fail, toxins like urea accumulate in the blood, which can cause itching and red rashes on the skin . This itching is often more on the cheeks and forehead and is not cured even with moisturizer. Bad breath and bad taste in mouth If the kidneys do not function properly, urea gets mixed in the blood and the breath starts smelling like ammonia. Also, there is always a metallic taste in the mouth and the appetite decreases. Sudden pimples or acne on the face Kidney failure leads to increased toxins in the body, which clog the pores of the skin. This leads to sudden pimples, small rashes or acne on the face which do not get cured by common methods. Spasms or numbness in facial muscles Kidney failure causes electrolyte imbalance in the body, which can cause cramps, numbness or tingling in the facial muscles. This symptom is especially felt around the forehead and jaw.
