In a throwback interview Dharmendra himself revealed that to conceal the smell of alcohol he started eating raw onions before coming to set. But despite his trick Asha would still sense the odor and confront him. One day Asha who was concerned for him asked him to quit drinking. Surprisingly Dharmendra had immense respect for Asha agreed and quit drinking from that moment. Asha Parekhs Personal Life This heroine of Dharmendra is 82 now and has never married. On the other hand Dharmendra went on to marry twice and father six children. In Ashas autobiography The Hit Girl she reflected on this personal decision. “I believe marriages are made in heaven and perhaps God simply forgot to write mine” she wrote. She shared that while there were proposals and possibilities nothing ever materialised. Her mother she revealed always wished she would get married somehow but destiny had other plans.
