People in India are using tablets, sprays and creams received rapidly without living a doctor's slip without living their pain. Due to which the pen management market has seen more than one billion dollars in the last 5 years. Citing the data of Nielsen, industry officials said that this category is the largest in the field of drugs found without a doctor's slip and on an average, about five brands have been launched every week since the epidemic. In 2020, there were 1,552 brands including Volini, Omnejel, Dolo and Seridon to get relief from pain, with the current number of 2,771.
About 16 thousand crores market
Shivam Puri, MD of Cipla Health, who sells the biggest rubflation brand like Omonizel, said in an ET report that consumers are paying more attention to get immediate relief from any pain. Rubfaces are gels and creams for external use. Puri said that due to the increase in urbanization and increase in chronic diseases, the need for sharp and more convenient drugs has increased which are available on all platforms. This is the situation when medical professional pain relievers are advising to be cautious on random use of drugs.
In urban markets, especially in the case of gym and sports injuries, a pen relief category is often associated with lifestyle. As a result, the market of analgesic (pain reliever drug) and rubafacients increased from Rs 6,820 crore in May 2020 to more than doubled by double this year to Rs 15,905 crore, which is increasing at a rate of 18 per cent at the rate of 18 per cent CGAR. This is three times higher than the total increase of over-the-counter market, which increased from 6 percent to Rs 80,000 crore.
Revenge view after Kovid
According to data from market researcher Pharmotrack, 75 % of the painkiller drugs account for analgesic drugs and Paracetamol is the biggest contributor to them. Sandeep Verma, a consumer health business head of South Asia, a Seridon -selling company, said that Kovid has changed the attitude of Indians about the pen management. He said that many Indians consider pain relievers as a sign of weakness or worry about depending on them.
He said that Kovid has made many of us aware of how stress, tiredness and even mild but frequent pain can reduce our health and products. He further said that most of the people have started to understand that suffering pain without treatment affects the quality of his life. Experts said that painkillers are also used to treat inflammation and problems related to it, which is increasing the need for these pills.
Vice President (Commercial) of Pharmotrac, Sheetal Sapale said in a media report that the painkillers dominated on paracetamol are increasing at a steady rate of 10 per cent. This is because paracetamol drugs are taken with other diseases, including arthritis, any other bacterial or viral virus.
There may be serious disadvantages
Mumbai -based Vicare Wellness Consultant Physician Nitin Kumar Sinha said in a media report that lifestyle problems - such as increasing stress, sleep deficiency and increasing obesity - are due to the increasing demand for preventive drugs. He said that lack of physical exercise, pain in the knees and joints due to increasing body and joint pain, angel, depression, all these are due to body pain, headache or increase in migraine. Sinha said that the number of people doing self-medication has also increased and many compulsory prescription medicines, sharp pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medications-which can have serious harmful effects like kidney damage for prolonged use-today are easily available at chemist shops without preference.
