Giving information about the unavailability of Gaikwad, Yorkshire’s head coach McGrag said, “Unfortunately Gaikwad is not coming yet due to personal reasons. He will not be able to play with us in Scarborough or the rest of the season. Therefore it is disappointing. I can’t tell you anything about the reasons for this, but we hope everything will be fine. We have just come to know. ‘ Gaekwad was also to play in One Day Cup after the County Championship.
In a release issued by Yorkshire, McGrag was quoted as saying that he would soon include another player in the team in place of Gaikwad. McGrag further said, ‘We are working on the back of the screen on what we can do. But there are just two-three days left, so I am not sure what we can do at this time. We are looking for a possible replacement, but time pressure is the problem. I cannot tell you anything more than this at this time.
