India Monsoon Alert: Rain havoc in Himachal; IMD’s alert increases concern in ‘these’ states

New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for many states in the country today. It has warned of rain in the capital Delhi, Central India, North India and other states. Delhi city received heavy rain last night. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Delhi and other states for the next three to four days.

Himachal Pradesh has been receiving heavy rains for the past few days. Due to this, the national highway in Sirmaur district has been closed. Heavy rains have been predicted in some districts of Himachal Pradesh. Also, there is a possibility of flood situation in some places. Therefore, the government and all the systems have been kept ready. Also, citizens have been appealed to be alert. Since June 20, a loss of Rs. 1,220 crore has been incurred.

170 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh

170 roads in Himachal Pradesh have been closed due to heavy rains. Some roads have been closed for more than 30 minutes. Work is underway to clear the mud from the roads. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Himachal Pradesh today. 121 roads have been closed in Mandi district. 112 citizens have died due to rains in the state so far.

Heavy rains expected in the next 24 hours

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and some southern states. Fishermen have been urged not to venture into the sea, and people living along the river banks have been urged to remain alert.

There will be heavy rains again in the state.

The weather has been changing drastically for the past few days. Heavy rains are being witnessed in some places while light rains are being witnessed in others. Meanwhile, rain warnings have been issued in many districts of the state. ‘Orange alert’ of rain has been issued in Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Dharashiv, Latur.

According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, there is a possibility of rain in some places in central India including Maharashtra between July 24 and 31. Rain warning has been issued in Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Dharashiv, Latur, Parbhani, Hingoli, Akola, Amravati. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these districts.
