The film was directed by David Dhawan, who was considered a comedy king of that era. Apart from Akshay-Juhi, it had an army of veteran comic artists like Kader Khan, Johnny Lever, Satish Kaushik and Gulshan Grover. The budget was only 4 crores, and it earned around 10 crores – which was a big thing in 90s.
