Hyderabad: Society of Geologists (SOCGEO), Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Department of Geology, Osmania University, have conducted an interactive workshop on the “Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Geosciences” at University College of Science, Osmania University.
Prof. D. Karuna Sagar, Senior Professor of Physics & Dean, Faculty of Science, Osmania University, stressed the need for the usage of AI in scientific applications because of its swiftness in analysing a huge quantity of data in a very short time.
Prof. G Prabhakar, Principal, University College of Science and Chairperson, BoS, Osmania University, stressed the need to be careful while populating the data for the AI applications since wrong inputs may lead to faulty results.
