After the match was canceled, there were strong reactions from fans on social media. Many people have openly appreciated the attitude of the Indian team.

Match canceled due to protest

A recently released statement by WCL organizers apologized that he hoped that this cricket match would also provide happiness to people around the world, given the matches between India and Pakistan recently in various sports like hockey and volleyball.
However, keeping in mind the emotional effects to the match, the organizers decided to cancel it and apologized for hurting anyone’s feelings.

WCL’s statement said:

“Recently, we had decided to continue this match in WCL by looking at the India vs Pakistan volleyball matches and other sports matches between the two countries, so that people around the world could be given some pleasant memories. But perhaps in this process we have unknowingly hurt the feelings of many people. So, we have decided to cancel India-Pakistan match.Hate and hope that people will understand that our aim was to bring some happiness for fans only. ”

Many Indian players withdrew the name from the match

Earlier, former Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan withdrew his name from this match against Pakistan. In a social media post, he said:

“The steps taken on May 11, I still maintain it today. My country is everything for me, and nothing is more than the country.”

Apart from this, according to reports, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan and many other players also decided not to participate in the match. Harbhajan Singh has also withdrawn his name from WCL Clash on Sunday.
