India’s high-tech jump! Entry in superpower club

New Delhi. India, taking another major technical jump, has included itself in the list of select countries that mastered the scramjet engine technology. India’s name has also been firmly added to the queue of technical giants like America, Russia and China. This achievement is not only revolutionary for the defense sector, but is also considered a decisive step for future hypersonic vehicles and space operations.

What is scumjet engine?

Scramjet-Supersonic Combustion Ramjet is an advanced air-confidence engine, which causes a proposal by burning the air at a supersonic (faster than sound) speed. This engine works at a speed of hypersonic speed i.e. Mac 5 or more – which is five times faster than the sound speed. The biggest advantage of this is that this engine burns fuel by taking oxygen from the environment, which does not require heavy oxygen tanks like rockets. This means – light, fast and cheap hypersonic vehicles.

Why is this technology so special?

Supersonic combustion: The ability to burn without slowing the air

Hypersonic speed: Retaliated attack before entering the border of the enemy

Uses in Space Mission: Big increase in speed and efficiency of spacecraft

Strategic edge Extremely important technology in modern war

India’s achievement

India has recently conducted successful ground tests of the scumjet engine. This attempt was made under the leadership of DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization), which emphasizes indigenous design and development. India’s Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) was a historic step in this direction, which proved that India is no longer following only, but is moving towards leadership.

China’s sleepy sleep!

This success of India has shocked China, because now technically, India has stood up to its equal. While China is under stress from America about hypersonic missiles, this progress of India quietly gives a strategic message – now it is not easy to take India lightly.
