EPFO recorded recorded performance, added 20.06 lakh members in May

EPFO NEWS: Very happy and shocking news has come out for the EPAO department today. According to the data, information has been received that in the month of May this year, Employees Provident Fund Organization ie EPFO has added 20.06 lakh members. Which is the highest lead since the start of payroll data tracking in the month of April 2018.

This information was given in an official statement released on Monday. This figure shows a 4.79 percent lead in the Net Perell Edition during May 2025 in the previous month of April. In addition, the ear-on-age analysis suggests that the NET payroll edition has increased by 2.84 percent as compared to May 2024, which reflects the increased employment opportunities and increased awareness of employee benefits from EPFO’s effective outreach initiatives.

Union Labor and Employment Minister Employment Minister Mansukh Mandavia has said that EPFO has registered the highest number of net member edition in May 2025, which is a proof of the increasing strength of India’s formal employment scenario. This historical achievement is the direct result of the government’s unwavering commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership and young-supportive, labor-supporter reforms.

How many members add this year?

EPFO enrolled around 9.42 lakh new members in May 2025 this year, showing an increase of 11.04 percent as compared to April. An important aspect of the enemies is dominated by the 18–25 age group. EPFO added 5.60 lakh new shareholders in the age group of 18-25, which is 59.48 percent of the total new shareholders involved in May 2025.

The number of new shareholders involved in the 18-25 age group in this month shows an increase of 14.53 percent as compared to April 2025. In addition, the NET payroll edition for the 18-25 age group for May 2025 is around 8.73 lakhs, showing an increase of 15.10 percent compared to the previous month of April 2025 and 0.11 percent in May 2024 as compared to the previous year.

The statement stated that it is in line with the earlier trends, indicating that most of the people who are involved in the organized workforce are young. Around 16.11 lakh members, who had already been out of EPFO, again joined the EPFO in May 2025. The figure indicates an increase of 2.12 percent compared to April 2025. It also shows a great growth of 14.27 percent on an annual basis compared to May 2024.

These members changed their jobs and re -joined establishments under the purview of EPFO and opted to transfer their accumulated amount instead of applying for final disposal, thus protecting long -term financial welfare and expanded their social security.

In May 2025, around 2.62 lakh new women members joined EPFO. This indicates an increase of 7.08 percent compared to April 2025. It also shows an increase of 5.84 percent on an annual basis compared to May 2024.

In addition, NET Female Panel Edition during this month stood at around 4.25 lakhs, compared to April 2025 on a monthly basis by 7.54 percent and an increase of 15.04 percent on an annual basis compared to May 2024. The official statement states that this increase in the number of women members is a sign of a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
