New Delhi: Karan Tacker may be enjoying a career high with the success of 'Tanvi: The Great' and 'Special Ops Season 2', but his path to fame wasn’t always easy. The actor recently opened up about a difficult chapter in his life, a time when his family lost everything and had to live in a godown.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Karan shared how he started out by running a clothing business with his father. “I started a business with my father. My father was already into the distribution of Indian garments. And I started this outlet of retail, Indian and Western clothes with Dad. We had two stores actually just right here in Lokhandwala, and we had one in Juhu,” he said.

But things took a turn when the global recession hit. The business collapsed, and the family was forced to sell their home. “The world hit a recession, you know; there was a big city bank crash that happened. We went bankrupt, we sold our homes, we sold everything that we had, and for a little bit I shifted with my family into our godown because that’s the only space that we had to live in,” Karan revealed.

'Special Ops Season 2' explores AI-driven cyber warfare layered with the tension of classic spy drama. The series also raises timely questions about the ethical dilemmas of technology in global conflict. On the other hand, 'Tanvi: The Great', directed by veteran actor Anupam Kher, is an emotional drama backed by powerhouse producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Kher Studios and Excel Entertainment.

Today, Karan is being praised for his strong performances and range as an actor. With two hit projects back-to-back, he’s clearly struck a chord with audiences. But behind the glamour is a story of hard work, setbacks, and starting over, something that makes his recent success all the more meaningful.
