How many candidates appeared for the exam?
This exam was conducted across India in June. In the last session, 48,161 candidates qualified for the post of Assistant Professor and got admission in PhD, while 1,14,445 candidates were found eligible only for PhD. Out of 8,49,166 candidates registered for the exam this year, 6,49,490 candidates appeared in the exam. While in the December 2024 session, only 5,158 candidates were found eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
How many marks are required to pass UGC-NET?
To pass the UGC-NET exam, general category candidates have to get a minimum of 40 percent marks. OBC-NCL, SC The required passing marks for candidates belonging to ST, Divyangjan and Transgender categories is 35 per cent.
