Know whom to donate from Premanand Maharaj?
According to Premanand Maharaj, charity means fulfillment of needs. If a person is hungry, then give him food, someone is sick, then give him a medicine and some are trembling with cold, then give him a blanket. These are real donations. If a dog also looks hungry, then there is no harm in getting him food because he is also part of God.
What should be kept in mind while donating money?
1. According to Premanand Maharaj, money should be donated very thoughtfully. First of all, see that whom you are donating money, will he not misuse it?
2. If you feel that the money donated by me will be properly utilized, then only donate money to that person otherwise.
3. Premanand Maharaj told that if a person does wrong with you the money given by you, then you will also have to suffer his punishment.
4. If a monk demands money in charity from you, then you can refuse it clearly, there is no harm in it nor is there any fear because you do not know what he will do with your wealth.
5. If a sage-saint tells you that money is needed for sacrifice etc., then first confirm this, only then give it money. Only then will the donation of your money be worthwhile.
