If you get some healthy and crispy salty with tea, then it is fun. Oats Chivda is a snack that is not only delicious, but also healthy. It uses less oil and it is a much better option than the market fried chivde. Let’s know the recipe for making Oats Chivda.

Material

Oats-1 cup
Peanut-2 tablespoon
Cashew-2 tablespoon
Dry coconut pieces-1 tablespoon
Curry leaves-8–10
Green chili (chopped) -1
Rye
Turmeric powder-tsp
Red chili powder-tsp
Salt-sufficient
Oil-1 -1.5 tablespoons
Raisins-1 tablespoon
Roasted chana dal-1 tablespoon

Method

  1. Add ½ tsp oil to a pan. Add oats to it and fry on low flame for 5–7 minutes until it becomes light golden and crisp. After roasting, take it out in a plate.
  2. Now add some more oil to the pan. Add mustard seeds, when it starts to crackle, add curry leaves, green chillies, peanuts and cashews.
  3. Fry peanuts and cashews until it becomes light golden. Then add coconut pieces, raisins and gram dal and fry a little.
  4. Now add turmeric, red chili powder and salt. Keep the flame low so that the spices do not burn. Now mix the pre -roasted oats in a mixture of spices.
  5. Mix well so that all the spices get coat on the oats. Fry 2 more minutes so that the taste gets well.
  6. Turn off the gas and allow the mixture to cool down completely. Then store in airtight container. Serve this healthy oats chivda for evening tea or light hunger in the morning. It is also a perfect snack for travel.
